Cold-Pressed Flu & Anti-Inflammatory Shots
Yes, you read that right! Medicinal Ginger and Turmeric are coming to the rescue. Two powerful and potent root vegetables.
As a shot, as a tea, as an add-on to your smoothies, spice up your dishes! There are so many ways to include the myriad of benefits they offer.
Although ginger shots have only recently become popular in the wellness community, ginger elixirs have been used since ancient times to treat a variety of ailments. Ginger is packed with gingerols, paradols, sesquiterpenes, shogaols, and zingerone, all of which have powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric and is strongly anti-inflammatory. In fact, it’s so powerful that it matches the effectiveness of some anti-inflammatory drugs, without the side effect. Curcumin is a bioactive substance that fights inflammation at the molecular level. (Healthline)
Ancient times, ancient knowledge… Wise to use it, isn’t it?
See below the various ways to enjoy the juice.
If frozen, thaw the juice partially by placing the jar in warm water for about 10-15 minutes. Warm water only, hot water will break the jar. Keep the water below the lid level so water doesn’t make its way into the jar. Return the jar to the freezer.
It is not recommended to refreeze if the entire jar of juice has been thawed. If some juice is still frozen, keep the thawed juice in your refrigerator and keep the frozen part in the freezer.
Recipes below mention warm water or steam until warm. Keeping your beverage below 115F or 46 Celsius will preserve more enzymes and nutrients.
Turmeric Ginger shot; 1oz + sprinkle of black pepper, drink straight up first thing in the morning … have a nice 8oz cup of warm water to drink right after
Turmeric Ginger Tea; add 1 – 2 tsp + sprinkle black pepper + 8oz cup of warm water
Golden Mylk; 8 oz of mylk of your choice + 1 tsp or more to taste + cardamom + white or black pepper. Warm up on the stove, whisk constantly. If you own a cappuccino maker use the steaming wand to warm up your latte.
Smoothie; add to your smoothie, add a little at a time so it doesn’t ruin the taste. Healthy is good, Delicious and Healthy is best!
Jars are filled up almost to the top leaving as little air space as possible to reduce oxidation. Oxidation affects the taste of the juice in an unpleasant way to say the least. Once open, we recommend drinking the juice in a short period of time.
❄️Keep refrigerated up to 6 days. Inside the fridge might be colder than the fridge door.
Monitor the temperature, ideally to be between 2 and 4 Celsius, no higher then 4 Celsius.
Shake well before serving.
